The community of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, is mourning the tragic loss of Tealson Herrlin, an 18-year-old from Upper Milford Township who died following a crash on Interstate 78. His sudden passing has left family, friends, and community members grieving the loss of a young life taken far too soon. According to authorities, the accident occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 12, 2026, at approximately 5:11 a.m. on the westbound lanes of I-78 near mile marker 54.1 in Lower Macungie Township.
Investigators reported that Herrlin was driving a gray 2005 Ford Mustang when the vehicle struck a traffic sign, left the roadway, and came to rest in a ditch along the highway. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash was reported and transported Herrlin to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced dead. The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office officially identified him and confirmed that an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
The Pennsylvania State Police, along with the coroner’s office and the district attorney’s office, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
